Fairline Yachts has released more details about the Squadron 68, which is scheduled to premiere this autumn at the Cannes Yachting Festival.
The Fairline Squadron 68 (initially called the Squadron 64) will replace the Squadron 65 in the builder’s offerings. The first Squadron 68s are now in build in Southampton, England, designed by Monaco-based Alberto Mancini with engineering from Vripack in the Netherlands.
The Squadron 68 is a flybridge yacht that Fairline says will surpass the Squadron 65’s space by 12 percent on the lower deck, 5 percent in the salon and 10 percent on the flybridge. A 2½-foot swim platform extension is designed for stowing personal watercraft or a jet tender.
Three- and four-stateroom layouts will be available. Owners also will have the option of choosing an extended VIP stateroom forward, adding a vanity and stowage.
“It is our most sophisticated model yet,” David Tydeman, executive chairman at Fairline Yachts, stated in a press release.
