Heesen Yachts in the Netherlands has sold Project Altea, a 164-foot aluminum motoryacht that’s the second to be built on the Nova Plus design and engineering platform.
With a fast displacement hull form, the yacht is expected to come in at just under 500 gross tons. Heesen started the build on spec and projects a delivery date to the owners ahead of this summer’s cruising season.
Exteriors are by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects. The interior is by Cristiano Gatto, with accommodations for 12 guests in six staterooms. The main deck, including the master stateroom, features deep-sea blue. The sky lounge includes rich purples and bespoke Paola Lenti furniture.
Heesen is projecting a top speed of 19.5 knots and a transatlantic cruising range of 3,750 nautical miles at 12 knots. Power is a pair of 1,450-horsepower MTU 12V 2000 M72 engines.
Will Project Altea be available for charter? Yes. The owners have chartered Heesen builds in the past, and they plan to put the yacht into the Mediterranean and Caribbean charter fleet through Tony Lovec Yacht Management.
