Benetti Oasis 34M Ubiquitous

The Benetti Oasis 34M Ubiquitous is scheduled to make its US debut at the 2023 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. This is a 112-foot fiberglass motoryacht with exteriors by RWD in Britain and interiors by the New York firm Bonetti & Kozerski. The stern on Ubiquitous has Benetti’s Oasis Deck, which includes two wings that open to enlarge the space. An infinity pool is here as well, and the space adjoins the main-deck salon to give guests the option of sun-drenched or shaded spaces for relaxation.

Also at the show: Benetti will showcase the B.Yond 37M Never Say Never Again. It’s a 121-foot motoryacht from architect Stefano Righini with an E-Mode Hybrid system from Siemens Energy. The idea is to reduce harmful emissions while giving owners the option of four operating modes, including a fully electric mode for zero-emissions cruising.

Four New Yachts from Azimut

Azimut will have four yachts making their Americas premiere at the 2023 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show: the Verve 48 outboard, Magellano 60, Grande 36M and S7.

The Verve 48 outboard is a sport boat for weekends, designed in collaboration with Francesco Struglia. Its power is triple 600 hp Mercury outboards that promise a top speed of 50 knots. The stern has been updated from previous models; it now includes “the most extensive swim platform ever,” according to Azimut.

Crossover appeal is at the heart of the Magellano 60, with features intended for longer-distance cruising. For sustainability, the Azimut Magellano 60 can be delivered with HVOlution, a biofuel produced by Eni Sustainable Mobility. Azimut says this fuel, when combined with the shipyard’s semi-planing Dual Mode hull, can reduce carbon-dioxide emissions by more than 80 percent compared to yachts using traditional fuel.

With the Grande 36M, Azimut is showcasing a semi-walkaround upper deck that runs on the same level from the stern almost to the tip of the bow. The idea is to create an area that didn’t exist before on boats this size. Exterior design on the Azimut Grande 36M is by Alberto Mancini, with interiors by Achille Salvagni.

The Azimut S7 is a 72-foot yacht built with Volvo Penta IPS propulsion and a “super-lightweight” hull for a sporty ride. Azimut says the S7 also reduces fuel consumption and harmful emissions by as much as 30 percent compared to shaft-line boats with traditional chine hulls. Exteriors are by Alberto Mancini, with interiors by Yachtique.

The wallywhy150 is also expected to be on display at the 2023 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, following its international debut at the recent Cannes Yachting Festival in France.

This 78-foot motoryacht can be ordered with triple Volvo Penta IPS1350 engines for a maximum speed of 23 knots. With the standard Volvo Penta IPS1200s, that figure is 21 knots. Exterior spaces include a completely open upper deck with dining, sunbathing and a shaded lounge. Inside, there’s sole-to-ceiling glass for great views, with a main-deck master stateroom as well as guest staterooms belowdecks. The yacht can be ordered with a VIP and two guest staterooms, or with twin VIPs.

This space has four gathering areas, including two sun pads forward, a wet bar aft and an L-shaped settee with a dining table to port. The X80’s main deck is dedicated entirely to socializing, with an L-shaped settee accompanied by a dining table forward.

In addition to its cruising, water-sports and angling flexibility, the 585 SUV is entertainment-centric with its sizable cockpit and semi-enclosed alfresco deck. From its seaside beach club to its foredeck lounge, rest and relaxation is at the forefront of this yacht’s design. Off the cockpit, power doors slide away allowing guests to enter the open-plan salon, which benefits from the aforementioned glass, enabling light to flood the space. A formal dining space for 10 is forward in the salon. The sense of volume and openness is palpable. The 32L has a main-deck master suite as well as four guest staterooms belowdecks. This yacht also has a skylounge with a wet bar, a TV, an ice-maker and a refrigerator, expanding entertaining options. Belowdecks, there are three double-berth staterooms and two heads. Owners can also opt to add a hydraulic swim platform. Riviera has two power options for the 46: twin 725 hp Volvo Penta D11 IPS 950s or twin 600 hp Volvo Penta D8 IPS 800s.

The Viking 90 made its official debut earlier this year at the Miami International Boat Show, but Hull No. 1 is still on its premiere-year tour. It’s been turning anglers’ heads out on the fishing circuit, hauling in big catch. All expectations are that it will continue to impress show-goers at the 2023 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

Princess Yachts continues to bring out new models at a fast pace, with investments in product development reaping big rewards for boaters this autumn and in early 2024.

The biggest news is the premiere of the Princess Y95, which is headed to the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show for its Americas debut following a showing at the Cannes Yachting Festival. Another new model headed to Fort Lauderdale is the Princess X80, which premiered for North American boaters at the Palm Beach International Boat Show earlier this year.

And, coming in spring 2024 are the Princess Y80 (look for it at the Palm Beach International Boat Show) along with the Princess S65.

Article At-A-Glance

  • The Princess Yachts Y95 will make its Americas debut at the Fort Lauderdale boat show.
  • The Princess Yachts X80, another new model, will also be on display at Fort Lauderdale.
  • The Princess Yachts Y80 is scheduled to be at the 2024 Palm Beach International Boat Show.
  • The Princess Yachts S65 is expected to arrive in spring 2024.

Princess Yachts Y95: New Y Class Flagship

The Y Class models at Princess Yachts are open-flybridge designs with the option of a hardtop. The Y Class includes vessels 72 feet and larger with crew spaces, while another open-flybridge line, the F Class, has vessels 45 to 65 feet that are built for owner-operators.

Within the Y Class, the Princess Y95 is the new flagship. It has accommodations for 10 people, a top speed of 24 knots, and lots of relaxation spaces inside and out.

Princess Yachts Y95: Unbeatable Volume

A key design element of the Princess Y95 is interior volume. This yacht is built to feel bigger than similar-length motoryachts. Not only are there five staterooms on board, but the master spans the yacht’s full beam, with skylights for extra natural light.

The Princess Y95’s volume also allows for multiple options when it’s time to dine and relax. There are seating and dining spaces inside on the main deck, outside on the main deck, and outside on the flybridge. Additional sun beds and seating are at the foredeck for unparalleled views of the scenery all around.

Princess Yachts Y95: Luxurious Finishes

Inside and out, the materials that go into the Princess Y95’s construction are of the highest quality. Interior furnishings can be ordered standard in alba or rovere oak with a satin lacquer finish. There are additional options for furniture in silver oak or walnut with a choice of satin or gloss lacquer finishes. Stonework too can be personalized, with marble, quartz or granite floors in the guest-stateroom bathrooms and granite or quartz countertops in the galley.

Additional choices are wide-ranging for carpets and fabrics, to give owners exactly the tones and textures they prefer.

Princess X80

Princess Yachts X80: New X Class Luxury

The X Class lineup is the only one that Princess Yachts offers with an enclosed sky lounge. This line’s first (and flagship) model is the X95, with the new Princess X80 becoming the second offering this year.

Owners of the Princess X80 get a choice in the layout: main-deck dining or a main-deck stateroom. James Nobel, vice president and marketing director at Princess Yachts America, says that the yard has built two hulls with the main-deck stateroom, while all other owners opted for the main-deck dining. “There’s a lot of flexibility in that model,” he says.

Princess Yachts X80: Light and Spacious on All Decks

Glazing is the term that means glass incorporated into a window frame or wall. Glazing is about more than views; it’s also about smart construction for impact resistance and to help keep the inside of a vessel cool, even on the hottest of days.

Aboard the Princess Yachts X80, there is extensive glazing along the entire length of the main deck. Substantial glazing is all around the X80’s salon, galley and dining area, melding light and design for an improved onboard experience. Designers also increased the heights of the bulwarks, topsides and enclosed wheelhouse, creating even more of a feeling of spaciousness.

Princess Yachts X80: Super Flybridge

Princess calls the X80’s top deck a “super flybridge” because it has 30 percent more useful interior space than a traditional flybridge on a yacht of the same length.

The X80’s flybridge has multiple seating areas for dining, conversing, or kicking back with a good book. Its interior spaces are protected from the elements, while its outdoor section is open for fresh air.

For added protection, the open areas on the flybridge have substantive railings that don’t interfere with the views, but that do keep the owners and guests safe at anchor or underway. The positioning of lounge areas forward and aft means guests can enjoy privacy no matter where the yacht is tied up or anchored.

Princess Yachts Y80: Coming in 2024

The Princess Yachts Y80 is expected to make its Americas debut at the 2024 Palm Beach International Boat Show. This is an eight-person yacht with a top speed of 33 knots and an open flybridge that’s ready for relaxation or entertaining.

As the fourth model in the Princess Yachts Y Line (which also includes the Y95, Y85 and Y72), the Princess Y80 shares the best features from her sisterships while adding new refinements.

Princess Yachts Y80: Customizable Spaces

All of the Princess Y80 hulls are outfitted with seating and dining areas, as well as a fully equipped wet bar. However, owners have a choice for the rest of the flybridge layout. A crane for a tender can be hidden within the sun pad, or that space can be used for free-standing loungers or a hot tub.

Another choice awaits on the main deck, where the layout includes the Y80’s galley and wheelhouse. Owners who want a more free-flowing ambience can leave these spaces open to one another, or, for more privacy, the yacht can be ordered with partitions.

Princess Yachts Y80: Ready for Family and Friends

Overnight accommodations on the Princess Y80 are all belowdecks, with four staterooms for eight people in total. The master stateroom is amidships—the part of the yacht with the least motion, for comfort at anchor—and spans the full beam. The master bathroom is abaft the sleeping space, giving the Y80’s owners an extra sound barrier from the engine space farther aft.

Double-berth staterooms for guests are far forward and to starboard, with a twin-berth stateroom to port. All of the staterooms are en suite.

Sunreef Yachts is preparing for the debut of the 80 Sunreef Power Eco at the upcoming Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

The yacht, christened Sól, is built with what Sunreef says is “the industry’s biggest battery bank in the category of leisure crafts up to 24 meters.” That battery bank, in conjunction with solar panels that are built into the yacht itself (including on the hullsides), reportedly gives the 80 Sunreef Power Eco the ability to cruise for close to 300 nautical miles.

Sunreef will be displaying the 80 Sunreef Power Eco alongside the Sunreef 80, which is a sailing version of the catamaran that the yard says is one of its best-selling models.

Will the 80 Sunreef Power Eco Sól be available for charter? Yes. It’s part of the Regency fleet and will be heading to the Virgin Islands for the upcoming winter charter season, after the boat show in Fort Lauderdale.

Sunseeker Predator 75

The Sunseeker Predator 75 is the new flagship in the Predator line, which also includes the Predator 55 Evo, Predator 65 and Predator 74 XPS. Like all of the Sunseeker Predator models, the new flagship is designed for indoor-outdoor excitement with a sliding sunroof as well as a cockpit door and window that lower, creating one big cockpit-salon entertaining and relaxation space.

Predator 75 Guest Spaces

On the Predator 75, Sunseeker created guest spaces that maximize options for making the most of the day, inside and out. Aft, in the cockpit, there’s seating and dining, as well as a sunbathing area just steps from the swim platform at the water’s edge. The garage is big enough to accommodate a Williams 395 SportJet tender for watersports, gunkholing and heading ashore to the beach. Side decks connect the cockpit to the forward section of the yacht, where more seating and sunbathing spaces await.

Inside, the Predator 75 has accommodations for six to eight guests and two crew. There are three en suite guest staterooms, including a full-beam master with a chaise for hiding away with a good book. Owners can order the yacht with an optional fourth stateroom. Additional dining space is on this deck, near the galley-down, for days when the weather makes indoor seating ideal.

Predator 75 Performance and Key Specs

According to Sunseeker’s data, the Predator 75 has a top speed of up to 40 knots. Engine options include twin 1,550 or 1,900 hp MAN V-12 engines. Range at a cruising speed of 21 knots is reportedly 330 nautical miles, based on the fuel capacity of 1,268 gallons.

This yacht is certified CE Category A, which means it’s made to head out on the ocean for extended voyages. It can withstand winds higher than 40 knots and wave heights above 13 feet (but not hurricane conditions)—not that most weekend cruisers want to be out in those types of seas, but it’s good to know the boat can take it, if a storm kicks up on the way home.

Sunseeker 100
The new flagship in Sunseeker’s Yacht line, this nearly 98-foot superyacht can reportedly top out at 30 knots and travel for 1,300 nautical miles at 10 knots. Courtesy Sunseeker

Sunseeker 100 Yacht

The Sunseeker 100 Yacht is the new flagship in the builder’s Yacht line. With the 100 Yacht, Sunseeker incorporated a full-beam owner’s stateroom forward on the main deck with a private bow terrace and sunbathing hideaways. The master also has a lobby entrance, a walk-in closet, an office and panoramic views. Overall, there are accommodations on board for 12 guests and five crew.

100 Yacht Guest Spaces

One of the premier guest spaces aboard the Sunseeker 100 Yacht is up on the flybridge, which—in a first for the British builder—allows for uninterrupted walkaround access, including to the foredeck. Guests on the flybridge can relax in the seating near the bar or on the freestanding furniture aft, while crew have direct access to the flybridge from the galley (separate from the guest stairway) for ease of serving food and drinks.

Inside, on the main deck, the salon has sole-to-ceiling glass for allowing in natural light. There’s a 55-inch TV for movie nights on the hook. Outside and aft, the beach club allows access to the water as well as to the water toys and tender garage. The yacht can be ordered with Sunseeker X-TEND, which is a sunbed that transforms into multiple seating configurations at the stern.

100 Yacht Performance and Key Specs

The Sunseeker 100 Yacht is available with multiple engine packages. The standard power plants are twin MTU 12V 2000 M96Xs, while the optional diesels are twin MTU 12V 2000 M96Ls. The builder reports a top hop of 30 knots, as well as a 1,300-nautical-mile range at a cruising speed of 10 knots.

Length overall on the 100 Yacht is 97 feet, 11 inches, with a beam of 22 feet, 8 inches and a draft of 6 feet, 10 inches. The tender garage is sized to hold a Williams SportJet 460 along with a Sea-Doo GTX 255 personal watercraft, as well as smaller water toys such as Seabobs, scuba gear and paddleboards.

Sunseeker Ocean 182

The Sunseeker Ocean 182 measures just shy of 89 feet length overall and falls in the middle of the builder’s five-yacht Ocean line of vessels. With this newest Ocean model, Sunseeker’s team set out to create what is essentially a floating penthouse, with sole-to-ceiling sliding doors to starboard and matching windows to port, allowing for uninterrupted views.

Ocean 182 Guest Spaces

The upper deck on the Sunseeker Ocean 182 has retractable sliding doors, which means the space can be fully enclosed and climate-controlled, or used as an open, alfresco balcony. This is also where the yacht’s helm is located—and it’s a first for Sunseeker, situating the sole helm on the upper deck. A bar is next to the helm for snacks and drinks, with seating and a TV aft, leading to an outside space with lounge seating.

Down at water level, the Ocean 182’s beach club has a hydraulically lifting swim platform, a retractable passarelle, a shower, speakers for the owner’s favorite music, a barbecue and Sunseeker’s X-TEND convertible seating.

Ocean 182 Performance and Key Specs

The Sunseeker Ocean 182 is rated CE Category B, which means it’s intended to operate offshore with winds up to 40 knots and seas as high as 13 feet. Sunseeker offers the yacht with twin 1,650 or 1,900 hp MAN V-12 engines, providing a reported top-end speed of 27 knots. At 12 knots, Sunseeker says the Ocean 182 has a range of 1,800 nautical miles.

Draft is 6 feet, 5 inches on the Ocean 182, with a beam of 23 feet, 6 inches.

Ocean Alexander’s 28E enters uncharted waters as the first model in the Taiwanese builder’s new Explorer series. The 28E had its global debut at Australia’s 2022 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show and was on display at the recent Fort Lauderdale show.

From the flybridge’s three socializing areas to the expandable multipurpose aft deck and two levels of accommodations, just about every space aboard the 28E is an invitation to relax and look around—and there’s certainly plenty to explore aboard the 28E.

At the 28E’s aft deck, Ocean Alexander has completely opened the space. There’s no covered beach club or stowage, but instead a 332-square-foot teak-covered area that gives guests and their toys easy access to the water. The space can be increased too, with fold-down bulwarks to port and to starboard, widening the 20-foot-8-inch beam to 26 feet, 10 inches. Two personal watercraft, two Seabobs and a 16-foot tender can be stowed here, alongside a 2,500-pound crane for launching.

The Evan K. Marshall-designed interiors have Poltrona Frau furniture, including an aft-facing L-shaped sofa for at least six people in the salon. Forward of the salon is a 10-seat dining table. The portside galley has stone countertops, JennAir appliances (a microwave, a cooktop and an oven) and a Fisher & Paykel refrigerator.

To starboard are the stairs to the sky lounge and the 28E’s helm station. There are three helm seats and Garmin electronics, including three 24-inch screens. Aft are a wet bar to starboard and a C-shaped sofa for at least four people, with a coffee table. Farther aft, through a sliding-glass door, there can be an eight-person dining table if owners want one. Far aft, owners can also opt for a hot tub with surrounding sun pads or two sofas.

Accommodations include a main-deck master stateroom, a forepeak VIP and two aft staterooms with queen berths, and two twin-berth guest staterooms to starboard. The master is highlighted by a single piece of curved glass above the king-size berth, for unbeatable sky views.

Heesen Yachts in the Netherlands has tapped British studio Harrison Eidsgaard to design the shipyard’s 50-meter Steel series that was announced in October at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

The new, 164-foot model will come in at 499 gross tons with a Fast Displacement steel hull and the option of hybrid power.

Heesen says the interior layout will include sliding windows in the main salon, separate crew routing for discreet and efficient service, and stowage forward for tenders and toys, leaving the split-level aft deck open for guests with an infinity pool. Accommodations will include six staterooms for 12 guests.

“An earlier collaboration between Heesen and Harrison Eidsgaard resulted in the award-winning Irisha, delivered in 2017,” Rick van de Wetering, chief operating officer at Heesen, stated in a press release. “We appreciate the precision and thorough organization of their design processes. This new 50-metre Steel series is Harrison Eidsgaard’s interpretation of Heesen’s DNA, and our know-how in engineering and building successful series yachts.”

What other features are expected to be on board? Harrison Eidsgaard is talking about a “unique coffee table” on the sundeck that doubles as an atrium skylight.
