Lyman-Morse in Thomaston, Maine, says construction is underway on Hull No. 1 of the Hood 35 LM, an express cruiser that is scheduled to launch this year.
The Hood 35 LM has a length overall of 34 feet, 10 inches, and a beam of 11 feet, 6 inches. The hull is constructed of cold-molded wood composite, with power from a pair of Yanmar 6LY440 engines paired to HJX29 Hamilton water jets.
According to Lyman-Morse, top speed will be 38 knots with a cruising speed of 30 knots. Fuel capacity is 350 gallons.
For weekends on the hook, the cabin includes a centerline queen berth, an enclosed head with a shower, and a galley with a single-burner cooktop, fridge and sink.
