I was lucky enough to take the Tiara Sport 38 LS for a spin in Miami’s Biscayne Bay just before the 2019 Miami International Boat Show. The outboard-powered luxury center-console with twin Seven Marine 527 6.2-liter V8 outboards with Volvo Penta DuoProp drives, as well as joystick controls, a dynamic positioning system and a Glass Cockpit, all encompassed by Volvo Penta’s EVC platform, proved exceptionally easy to operate as well as supremely fun to drive.

On test day, the weather was snotty out on the bay. A light rain fell as 10-knot winds rustled up a discernible chop, but the 38 LS ate it up with gusto. It’s easy for a boat this size to be less than confidence inducing in sloppy two- and three-footers, but the Tiara Sport had no such concerns.
And she’s fast too. The 38 can top out at nearly 48 knots and cruises at 30 knots, with a range of 276 nautical miles.
Onboard the boat has amenities you might expect of a center-console in this class, including a U-shaped dining settee at the transom and plentiful forward seating, as well as a head within the console.
With an aim to make boating easy, comfortable and fun the Tiara 38 LS looks like she will have plenty of fans as more and more people find out about her.
