Wally Yachts, part of the Ferretti Group, has unveiled the 43wallytender.

The 42-foot model adds a “center cockpit” concept that is different from previous models. It includes a wraparound glass windshield that offers protection on three sides, with a T-top above. The windshield’s front section has an angular bend but is made from a single pane of glass, a design element the builder achieved without needing a central strut—thus enhancing visibility from the helm and advancing the design aesthetic.

According to Wally, the 43wallytender can carry as many as 12 people at speeds of 40 knots. Features include shelter against the elements for the driver and guests, standing headroom, a head with a separate shower, and a range of possible deck configurations. A laminated sail mounted across the T-top’s carbon-fiber superstructure allows for open-air living while providing relief from the sun.

The yacht is built with composites and carbon fiber at Wally’s new production site in Forli, Italy. Hull No. 1 debuted in September 2020 during a private preview in Monaco. It was painted “gator green” in honor of the builder’s first sailing yacht, Wallygator.

An open space abaft the cockpit can be used for transporting guests or gear, as a sunbathing area, or as a dining space with a foldout table. Side-opening bulwarks extend the deck space in a way that’s similar to the 48wallytender.

Power is twin 380-horsepower Volvo Penta diesels. An upgrade to 440-horsepower engines allows top speeds of 40 knots, according to Wally.

More options that are available on the 43wallytender: A second refrigerator and ice maker, a diesel generator, air conditioning inside and out, and a Seakeeper stabilizer are all on the options list.
