Egret’s Circumnavigation

Scott and Mary Flanders have gone around the world.

Egret’s Circumnavigation

On February 10, 2011, Scott and Mary Flanders tied their Nordhavn 46 Egret to the docks in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, Spain, very near the slip they had departed from, 1,596 days earlier. Egret and the Flanders earned a special place in the annals of cruising history with the completion of a circumnavigation that took them below the five Great Southern Capes (the Cape of Good Hope, Cape Leeuwin, Cape Horn, the South East Cape of Tasmania, and South West Cape at the southern tip of Stewart Island). Theirs is one of only 10 such voyages made on production powerboats to achieve this feat. To read entries from their blog visit www.nordhavn.com.
