Yachts are flashy by nature. Their luxurious comforts, by design, shout flair and opulence. The Fairline Yachts Phantom 65, however, shows off in a subtler way. From stern to bow, this sport-bridge model has hidden features that can transform spaces in big and small ways.

Take, for example, the quietude of the cantilevered teak table in the cockpit. It connects the transom seating with the starboard-side, L-shaped settee to create an alfresco dining area big enough for all guests to enjoy. The two settees can also become one with a sliding hideaway connector from the transom settee, and diners can add the two stools from the indoor dining space, should guests drop by for dessert.

Also inside is a U-shaped settee to starboard with a high-gloss table that can raise for meals or lower to become a coffee table—all on the same level as the cockpit and galley, which is aft in the portside corner. The galley’s location, combined with an electrically powered fold-up window to starboard and a sliding-glass door that hides behind the portside stairs, creates one interconnected socializing space for entertaining and serving.

Forward and a step up, the salon has two settees: one that’s U-shaped and to port, and a two-seater to starboard. The portside seating can be accompanied by a coffee table or a replica of the dining area’s versatile table. To starboard, a TV rises from the console.

Lighting is another design priority aboard Fairline’s Phantom 65. Hullside windows on either side of the salon measure 93 by 36 inches, providing unobstructed views. Both are tinted and covered with UV-reduction film, as are all windows on this yacht, including the single-piece windshield. The sunroof above the salon allows for more natural light. For evenings on board, the Phantom 65 has intimate white mood lighting throughout most spaces.

More subtle touches are on the foredeck, which can serve as a private gathering space at marinas where the yacht will dock stern-to. Fairline maintains a clean look here by hiding the windlass and anchor chain in the deck. Abaft that working area are two sun pads that can be elevated with backrests, and a U-shaped settee with a teak table that can be lowered out of sight.

Belowdecks, Fairline offers four layouts: three with three staterooms (one with a day head, one with an extended VIP and one with a utility room) and a four-stateroom setup. Hull No. 7, which we got aboard, had the portside utility room with an additional full-height fridge/freezer, an ironing board and stowage. In the extended-VIP version, the forepeak stateroom’s head replaces the utility room and serves as a day head. In the day-head layout, the utility room becomes a fourth head. The four-stateroom option places a stateroom with bunks in the same space.

In every layout, there is a twin-berth guest stateroom to starboard that can convert to a double. The master spans the full beam amidships with a sofa to port and a vanity to starboard. Additional drawers can replace the portside sofa.

The Phantom 65 has a pair of two-seat helm stations: one to port on the sport bridge and the other to starboard on the main deck. Both stations are equipped with Garmin electronics and are sized for three 16-inch multifunction displays. The Phantom 65 also has the builder’s F-drive software, which monitors all of the yacht’s systems.

Fairline Phantom 65
Owners can choose a canopy fixed with four carbon-fiber poles at the bow of the Fairline Phantom 65. Courtesy Fairline

Powered by twin 1,622 hp C32 Caterpillar engines, the Phantom 65 topped out at 36.2 knots and 2,300 rpm, with a fuel burn of 178 gallons per hour. Considering the yacht’s 1,103-gallon fuel capacity and a 10 percent reserve, range is 202 nautical miles at top hop. Dial back to a cruising speed of 26 knots at 2,100 rpm, and fuel burn drops to 99.8 gph. Range pops up to 258 nm. The Phantom 65’s engine room is accessed from a cockpit hatch. Everyday checks are accessible from the entry point.

Fairline’s Phantom 65 is a yacht with no need to shout about its high quality and style. The shipyard’s thoughtful design and construction, combined with the yacht’s performance metrics and versatile features, speak quite beautifully for themselves.

Made to Fit

The Fairline Phantom 65 has an aft garage that’s sized to accommodate an 11-foot-3-inch Williams Sportjet 345 without having to deflate the tender or remove its steering wheel. This garage also has a hydraulic winch and a roller system for easier launching and retrieval of the tender.

Quiet Design

Fairline designed the master stateroom with no water pipes running beneath it, helping to reduce noise. Water from the master’s head travels aft, while water from the forward heads moves forward. Noise is also mitigated by the master’s 6 1⁄2-inch-thick after bulkhead, which is built with sound-deadening materials.

British yacht builder Fairline says it will have the global debut of its Targa 40 and the European debut of its Squadron 58 at Boot Düsseldorf in January.

The Fairline Targa 40 creates a new entry point for the builder’s Targa series, which also includes 45- and 50-foot models. Fairline says the Targa 40 takes design cues from its predecessor, the Targa 38, with a modern feel and multifunction livability. The family-size express cruiser is notable for its flowing profile, enhanced by hull-side glass, which visually lowers the exterior look. The Targa 40’s sheerline seemingly streaks aft, indicating the yacht’s potential mid-30-knot performance. The beam expands admiships helping optimize interior volume and the two-stateroom layout, before tapering aft and resolving at the SUV-like cockpit arrangement.

To that end, the Targa 40’s cockpit has a foldout deck to starboard, increasing usable deck real estate. A sun pad here can be adjusted several ways to create seating facing aft as well as towards the foldout deck. C-shape seating to port wraps around a table for alfresco meals. Like the other seating spaces, the backrests can be adjusted to create aft-facing seating to keep an eye on swimmers or just take in a sunset with friends. To port, there is also a garage with tender stowage.

The bridge deck’s two-seat helm station with Garmin displays is to starboard and there is guest seating to port. A hardtop with retractable canvas can open the main deck to the sun and breeze when desired.

Belowdecks, the Targa 40 has an owners’ stateroom forward with access to the single head with shower, taking full advantage of the yacht’s 13-foot beam. Abaft the owners’ space is a guest stateroom with twin berths for kids or guests. There is also a U-shaped dinette to starboard and a galley with two-burner electric cooktop, sink and more. All of the spaces belowdecks have water views out the hull-side windows.

Power for the Fairline Targa 40 is either twin 340 hp Volvo Penta D6 diesels or twin 380 hp Volvo Penta D6 diesels paired to sterndrives. Projected top hop is 32 knots and 36 knots, respectively.

Fairline Squadron 58

The Fairline Squadron 58 fits into the middle of the builer’s flybridge series, which also includes the Squadron 50 and Squadron 68.

Like the Targa 40, the Squadron 58 is aimed at maximizing available real estate and increasing it where it can.

For instance, the Squadron 58 has hydraulic foldout decks to port and starboard. This setup lets owners place two stools into the port side deck, and with the window down it creates an inside-outside bar area connecting it to the aft galley. To starboard, the balcony creates a seating area for morning coffee with a book. The cockpit has U-shaped seating on centerline with views aft through the glass balustrade. It’s a modular seating arrangement so, like the Targa 40, they can be adjusted to change views. Teak steps flanking the cockpit lead to the yacht’s beach club, which has an extendable teak swim platform, where sun pads can be added or owners can use the space for swimming or to launch the tender and water toys.

The Squadron 58 has two twin-seat helm stations, both located to starboard. On The flybridge, there is guest seating across from the helm as well as U-shaped seating with a table. On the main deck, there is guest seating abaft the helm as well as dinette to port.

Accommodations on the Squadron 58 include a three-stateroom layout with a full-beam owners’ space amidships, a forepeak VIP and a third guest stateroom with twins abaft and to starboard of the VIP. The standard layout includes a two-head arrangement. There is a dayhead option, which places the third head all the way aft. There is also a crew-cabin option, although most buyers will be owner-operators.

Power for the Fairline Squadron 58 is either twin 900 hp Volvo Penta D13 diesels or twin 1,000 hp D13 diesels, both in a conventional straight-shaft configuration. Fairline reports top hops of about 31 and 32 knots, respectively.

Fairline Yachts in the United Kingdom is bringing back and updating its Phantom line, starting with the Phantom 65. It’s a sport-bridge yacht with entertaining capabilities, weekend potential and sporty performance. It will make its US debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in October.

In addition to the foredeck sun pad with forward-facing C-shaped seating and a dinette, the sport bridge offers sun-soaking fun. Forward of the stairs and to port is a two-seat helm station abaft a raked windshield. Adjacent to the skipper’s command center is C-shaped seating, so the driver is always included in the conversation. Abaft there, and separated by a wet bar with a refrigerator and a sink, are forward-facing L-shaped seating and an accompanying teak dinette for guests.

The Phantom 65’s cockpit also has an aft-facing sun pad for sun soakers. Forward of there is a straight-line settee, with additional L-shaped seating forward and to starboard, and a folding table above a teak sole. Beneath this space, an integrated garage can house a Williams 345 Sportjet tender.

When guests pass through a sliding-glass door, the galley with a wood sole is immediately to port, with the dining area to starboard. It has C-shaped seating and a high-gloss table for serving up meals in any kind of weather.

Farther forward is the salon with a helm station to starboard. Here, a C-shaped sofa and a coffee table are to port, and a two-seat sofa is to starboard with a TV that tucks away when it’s not in use.

Belowdecks accommodations come in a variety of three-stateroom layouts or a four-stateroom setup. The standard layout has three staterooms and four heads, including a day head to port. Owners can opt for an extended VIP stateroom, granting more space in the sleeping area and using that room’s head as the day head. A utility room can also replace the day head in the standard setup. In the four-stateroom layout, there’s a twin-berth stateroom to starboard and a bunk-berth stateroom to port. The VIP’s en suite head becomes the day head in this setup too. In all configurations, the full-beam master amidships and the VIP have king-size berths.

Fairline Yachts has updated its Squadron 68. The second generation of the model made its world debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September.

The 68’s enhancements begin with the flybridge. Its new sliding fabric sunroof can now open completely above the helm station to starboard and above the helm’s companion seating with a wooden table to port. Moving amidships, there’s U-shaped seating and a dinette to starboard. Far aft is aft-facing seating for sundowners.

With optional 1,622 hp Caterpillar C32 diesels, top speed for the Squadron 68 is reportedly 33 knots. Owners can opt for electric or hydraulic bow and stern thrusters too. Courtesy Fairline, Simpson Marine

Notable complements include a wet bar with a sink and a grill abaft the amidships seating, and an electric sunshade that extends past the wet bar to just short of the aft seating. The portside companion seating can convert to a sun pad.

Following the portside stairs down leads to the cockpit, where there is forward-facing seating with a wooden table and, to port, a bar with two optional bar stools. The window that’s forward of the bar opens for service from the galley, which also received an update. Instead of full-height refrigeration, the new Fairline Squadron 68’s galley has four pullout fridge-freezer drawers at waist height.

Opposite the portside galley is seating with an extendable wooden table. When the table is closed, there are two cup holders on each end; when it’s extended, the whole family can have breakfast while seated on the L-shaped settee. Forward of the galley is C-shaped seating in the salon, with a sofa opposite and a pop-up TV nearby. The 68’s helm station is to starboard, with two seats and a new side door.

Fairline offers four layouts belowdecks. In the standard three-stateroom layout, a fourth head to port serves as the boat’s day head. In one three-stateroom alternative, the forepeak VIP can be extended on the port side; in another three-stateroom version, that space becomes a utility room with a standing fridge-freezer and a pullout ironing board. In the layout with four staterooms, a portside stateroom is added with two bunks.

Updates to the 68’s accommodations include more width in the starboard-side, twin-berth guest stateroom, Fairline says. Those twin berths can come together to form a double.

Fairline offers two power options from Caterpillar: twin 1,150 hp C18 diesels or twin 1,622 hp C32 diesels. Reported top hops with those packages are 31 and 33 knots, respectively.

Fall boat-show season is always a time to be excited about new launches and yacht designs, but this year the Monaco Yacht Show is adding another level with an Adventure Area. This new part of the show will feature all kinds of things that yachtsmen need for expedition-style cruising, including sporty tenders, off-road vehicles, helicopters and high-tech gadgets.

Sign us up for all of that and more, please. We’re especially keen to have a look this season at the new yachts, all of which caught our eye for different reasons.

Pardo GT52: First Model in a New Range

The Pardo GT52 is the first model in a new range that builder Pardo Yachts in Italy says falls between its Walkaround and Endurance ranges. The GT52 is designed for owners who want more volume and layout flexibility in the guest areas, but without sacrificing performance. Owners can choose either galley-up or galley-down layouts, with the engines placed closer to the stern, allowing more space for the interior cabin options. That extra space, depending on which galley setup is chosen, can be used for an additional stateroom, a TV lounge, or a larger dinette and a more extensively equipped galley. Standard power is a pair of 650 hp Volvo Penta IPS engines, with 700 hp and 800 hp as options.

Absolute Navetta 75: The New Flagship

The Absolute Navetta 75 is the new flagship of the Italian builder’s Navetta line, which starts at a Navetta 48 and now includes seven models overall. The Navetta 75 has a full-beam owner’s stateroom at the bow, on a level raised to offer more privacy and wider views of the surroundings. The flybridge “terrace,” as Absolute calls it, has no fixed furnishings, so owners can set up the space however they desire. The cockpit below, on the main level, is similarly arranged for maximum flexibility. Crew quarters are aft, giving the crew and guests alike their privacy, and there are stairs to the flybridge from the bow as well as the stern, so the crew can move around as needed without disturbing anyone else on board.

Fairline Phantom 65: The Builder’s First Sport Bridge

The Fairline Phantom 65 is the British builder’s first sport-bridge model, and it has an exterior inspired by the design of the Fairline Targa 65. There are two engine options: twin 1,150 hp Caterpillar C18s for a reported top speed of 31 knots, or twin 1,622 hp V-12 Caterpillar C32s that Fairline says will juice that speed in excess of 35 knots. Inside, owners can choose a three- or four-stateroom layout, including an owner’s stateroom with a king-size berth. The galley is aft on the main deck, with a bar that extends to the cockpit, helping to create an indoor-outdoor space. Draft on the Phantom 65 is 5 feet, 2 inches, making the boat ready to explore the Bahamas or any similarly shallow cruising grounds.

Sirena 78: Ready for Relaxation

Onboard entertainment was top of mind with designers at Turkey-based Sirena Yachts as they developed the Sirena 78. The yacht falls between the Sirena 68 and Sirena 88 in the builder’s lineup, and is different from similar-size builds in that it has no main-deck helm station. Instead, that space is opened up for guest relaxation, with what Sirena calls a “massive galley” for food prep, full-size appliances and parties. Up top, owners can choose an open, semi-enclosed or fully enclosed flybridge, and the foredeck is intended to be used as an alfresco lounge with tables, settees and a sun pad. Down below, accommodations include a full-beam master stateroom amidships and a VIP stateroom in the bow. Both are ensuite.

The Fairline shipyard in Britain is preparing for two debuts at the Cannes Yachting Festival this autumn: the Phantom 65 and Squadron 68.

Fairline’s Phantom 65 will be the yard’s first sportbridge yacht, with spaces for alfresco dining, entertaining and lounging. It’s meant to combine the volume of a Squadron with the proportions of a Targa, with exteriors based on the technical platform of the Targa 65. Its tender garage will hold a Williams 345 SportJet. Power will be twin 1,150-horsepower Caterpillar C18s, with a projected 31-knot performance, or twin 1,622-horsepower Caterpillar V-12s for speeds expected to top 35 knots.

The Squadron 68 is a redesigned model with a revised exterior, new hardtop and new interior design. The exterior has updated hull windows, and the hardtop has a fabric sliding sunroof and integrated electric sunshade. The new galley layout increases the fridge/freezer capacity and adds a bar that extends into the cockpit. Owners can also opt for a new trifold patio door and a lower-helm, side-access door. Three- or four-stateroom layouts are available, as are updated materials and finishes.

“Having taken onboard feedback from customers to further improve the Squadron 68, we’re confident buyers will fall in love with it as much as we have,” Paul Grys, Fairline’s CEO, stated in a press release.

What other models will Fairline have at the Cannes Yachting Festival? The display is also expected to include the F/Line 33, Targa 45 Open and Targa 50 GT.

Knife-shaped hullside glass stretches from just below the bow to just abaft amidships, blending with a straight-edge sheer line and a raked hardtop that looks like the wind has blown it back. Together, these design elements create the Fairline Targa 43 Open’s sporty profile.

The express cruiser’s look comes from designer Alberto Mancini, who also penned the builder’s Targa 63 GTO. Fairline is hoping for repeat success with this 43, since the original Targa 43, produced from 1997 to 2005, saw about 300 hulls built.

A deep-V hull form supports the new model’s racy aesthetic and should slice through a seaway. The fiberglass hull, deck liner, and longitudinal and transversal stringers are resin-infused, adding strength without weight.

Power for the 43 Open is twin 435 hp Volvo Penta IPS600 diesels, and the builder reports a 34-knot top-end.

For fun in the sun, the yacht has a foredeck sun pad, as well as a sun pad over the transom garage. The garage holds a Williams 280 Minijet tender. The teak-covered hydraulic swim platform should make for easy launching and retrieval, and the builder says the platform’s 661-pound lifting capacity allows for a Sea-Doo Spark with a 421-pound dry weight. Three-step teak passages flank the tender garage, allowing cockpit access from port or starboard.

The helm is forward and to starboard with two seats, and can be outfitted with a joystick for simplifying close-quarters maneuvering. Across is an L-shaped settee with a table for guests. Abaft is L-shaped cockpit seating, and another seat is across from it, keeping everyone in the conversation.

fairline targa 43
The Targa 43 Open’s standard two-stateroom layout has a forepeak master and a guest stateroom amidships. Owners can move the master to amidships. Fairline Yachts

For cruising families, there is a two-stateroom, two-head layout belowdecks. The standard setup has a forepeak master with a double berth and an amidships guest stateroom with twin berths. And the spaces can be switched, with the forepeak getting a scissor berth for two, if desired.

The galley-down is between the two staterooms. It has a two-burner cooktop, a microwave and a fridge/freezer to port, and a dinette across.

Fairline’s 43 Open may be the smallest model in the builder’s four-model Targa lineup, which stretches to 63 feet length overall, but she possesses the same sleek design, amenities and performance as her bigger sisters.

The Fairline Targa 43 Open is the builder’s entry level into its Targa series. Fairline Yachts

Fairline recently debuted its Targa 43 Open, the builder’s new entry level yacht into the Targa series, which also includes 48-, 53- and 63-foot models.

The 43 Open, penned by designer Alberto Mancini, has a low profile and aggressively raked hardtop, giving the yacht a sporty aesthetic. Backing up that look is twin 435 hp Volvo Penta IPS600 diesels, reportedly giving the yacht a 32-knot top hop.

Fairline’s 43 Open has a deep-V hull form, supported by a resin-infused fiberglass hull, deck liner, longitudinal and transversal stringers.

Her layout has two staterooms and two heads. There is a forepeak master with a double berth and en suite head. The master can also be set up with a scissor berth, if an owner wants to swap out the amidships guest space as the master. The standard guest stateroom is amidships with two single berths set athwartships.

Fairline will debut its Targa 43 Open at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September.

The yacht, penned by designer Alberto Mancini, is the entry vessel into the builder’s Targa range, which also includes 48-, 53- and 63-foot models.

Powered with twin 435 hp Volvo Penta IPS600 diesels, the 43 Open is expected to make 34 knots. To ensure comfort underway, Fairline is building the Targa 43 Open with a deep-V hull form supported by resin-infused fiberglass, creating a relatively lightweight, yet sturdy structure.

Sun worshippers will appreciate the yacht’s cockpit sun pad set over the transom garage and flanked by teak steps for easy water access. (There’s a second sun pad on the foredeck.) Cockpit U-shaped seating to port has a table for lunch under the hardtop. If you want some sun here, the hardtop’s roof is retractable. Additional seating is just forward, and across to starboard is the helm with twin seats, single-lever controls, Garmin electronics and 7-inch Volvo Penta display

For light meal-prep, the 43 Open’s galley-down to port is equipped with a two-burner cooktop, microwave and fridge/freezer. Across is an L-shaped dinette with table.

The yacht has a two-stateroom, two-head layout. One option places the master stateroom with en suite head amidships. In this configuration, the berth is set athwartships. The forepeak VIP can be set up with a double berth or scissor berth. A second option place the master with en suite forward and two single berths in the guest stateroom amidships.

Fairline Targa 63 GTO is a Recipe for Success Fairline Yachts

What do you get when you blend a British builder, an Italian designer and a Dutch engineering firm? One heck of a collaboration known as the Fairline Targa 63 GTO.

GTO usually means an open-style boat without an after bulkhead, while GT depicts a closed-style craft. Fairline brings both attributes together in this model, with an after bulkhead that has a glass door and window. When the door slides sideways and overlaps the window, the combination disappears into a subcompartment, thus creating an open yacht.

Italian designer Alberto Mancini is responsible for the 63 GTO’s sweeping lines and interior spaces. With inspiration from the mega-yacht field, Mancini conceptualized the future look of the Targa brand, carrying the heritage, history and family feeling of Fairline into a new dimension. Alongside Fairline’s in-house design team, headed by Andrew Pope and Dutch naval architects Vripack, Mancini drew the 63 GTO from a blank slate, creating, as he puts it, “a new era” for the brand and builder.

The sleek design has ambient light in all directions, from the salon’s side windows to the electric sunroof, and the skylights in the forward section to the single-pane windshield. The 63 GTO is an open-feel yacht that can be closed against the elements.

Seating on the aft deck includes a U-shaped settee spanning across the transom, up the starboard-side and across the after bulkhead. A teak table allows a place for drinks, and a portside grill and fridge assist with alfresco meals.

Sightlines from the aft deck to the helm are unobstructed, making the main deck a single-level social zone. Guests can also congregate inside with a U-shaped settee to starboard, its two high-gloss teak tables able to become a single dining table by way of a flip-over filler. The space also has a 50-inch Samsung LCD TV.

Undercounter appliances help to maintain a clear view out the windows from the in-line, portside galley. Avonite countertops, a fridge/freezer, a multiburner Bosch flat cooktop and a microwave are standard, as is a 24-piece, six-place setting that helps make this area turnkey.

Her ride is as smooth as her layout. Taking the wheel on the Targa 63 GTO is akin to driving a British roadster. Quick out of the hole, she is responsive, with assured tracking through turns that makes for confident operation. An optional Seakeeper 16 gyrostabilizer kept my test yacht stable in a 2-foot chop.

Looking around, I could see that Fairline is upping the lifestyle experience too. High-gloss walnut, diamond-stitched padding, leather liners, carpeting and stylish fabrics are prevalent throughout the yacht. I mentioned to Miles Moorhouse, director of marketing for Fairline Yachts, that I felt the level of detail was something I would see on a Rolls-Royce. “We want the owner to feel that way,” Moorhouse said. According to him, the builder is seeking to add value through amenities and innovations.

In 2017, Fairline Yachts celebrated its 50th anniversary. To commemorate the milestone, every Fairline yacht constructed in 2017 was adorned with a gold Fairline crest. Typically made with blue and red stripes, this gold piece signifies not only Fairline’s longevity but also its new direction, ownership and commitment to boatbuilding.

The Targa 63 GTO can be ordered with three or four staterooms. Five steps down from the salon is the lower atrium. Bathed in light from windows and skylights, its spaciousness alleviates any claustrophobic fears, as does each guest room.

There is a forepeak VIP with a centerline queen berth and en suite head. All head layouts are clean and uncluttered, with stowage and shower stalls that have glass doors and windows. A double-bunk stateroom is just forward of amidships, and the optional fourth stateroom can be added across the atrium.

Twin 1,150 hp Caterpillar C18 diesels propel the yacht to more than 30 knots. At 1,200 rpm, they burn a miserly 26 gph combined at 11.5 knots. Move the throttles to 1,800 rpm for a 21-knot comfortable cruise speed while the Cats burn 71 gph. Bumping the 63 GTO to 27 knots will cost 107 gph at 2,100 rpm. My test 63 GTO hit 30.3 knots on the pins.

The full-beam master stateroom has hullside windows with opening ports and a double settee to starboard. A corner vanity doubles as a workspace, and the shower has a bench-style seat for a little steam time. With the king-size berth and built-in 40-inch Samsung LCD TV, owners may never want to leave this at-sea oasis. That’s why Fairline designed the master with no piping or pumps beneath the sole and installed 6 inches of insulation against the engine-room bulkhead, stopping sound or vibration from emanating inward.

For outdoor fun, Fairline built a stationary teak deck between the transom and hydraulic swim platform, so when the platform is deployed for seaside activities, there’s still access around the transom from one side to the other, or to the garage. The builder also created a built-in molded step, so getting up from the deployed platform is easier than it is with a ladder.

Two gates lead from the swim deck. The portside one goes to the aft deck; the starboard gate leads to a walkway to the bow and the yacht’s walk-around side decks. Another little oasis of comfort, the bow lounge has a foldaway teak table and a U-shaped settee; twin chaise-style lounges with flip-up backrests are forward, and they double as sun pads.

Fairline teased the coming of this boat for months, with a sketch here and there. Oftentimes with new models, the real deal doesn’t measure up to the hype. In the case of the Targa 63 GTO, the builder exceeded expectations, and then some.
