The Fairline shipyard in Britain is preparing for two debuts at the Cannes Yachting Festival this autumn: the Phantom 65 and Squadron 68.

Fairline’s Phantom 65 will be the yard’s first sportbridge yacht, with spaces for alfresco dining, entertaining and lounging. It’s meant to combine the volume of a Squadron with the proportions of a Targa, with exteriors based on the technical platform of the Targa 65. Its tender garage will hold a Williams 345 SportJet. Power will be twin 1,150-horsepower Caterpillar C18s, with a projected 31-knot performance, or twin 1,622-horsepower Caterpillar V-12s for speeds expected to top 35 knots.

The Squadron 68 is a redesigned model with a revised exterior, new hardtop and new interior design. The exterior has updated hull windows, and the hardtop has a fabric sliding sunroof and integrated electric sunshade. The new galley layout increases the fridge/freezer capacity and adds a bar that extends into the cockpit. Owners can also opt for a new trifold patio door and a lower-helm, side-access door. Three- or four-stateroom layouts are available, as are updated materials and finishes.

“Having taken onboard feedback from customers to further improve the Squadron 68, we’re confident buyers will fall in love with it as much as we have,” Paul Grys, Fairline’s CEO, stated in a press release.

What other models will Fairline have at the Cannes Yachting Festival? The display is also expected to include the F/Line 33, Targa 45 Open and Targa 50 GT.
